Who we are

I'm a former award-winning business journalist and editor as well as digital and communications leader and expert.

I channel this experience and my skills to provide clear, pithy copy for a range of channels and purposes, from a website to a LinkedIn profile or post, an email newsletter to a newspaper or magazine column.

Brevity always wins when it comes to words. As author Mark Twain once wrote: “I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”

I’ve written for the love or a wage for over 40 years. My first byline was a short story on Dick Whittington for my local newspaper aged 6, followed by interviews with (amongst others) comedian Stewart Lee and musician Stuart Adamson for my student rag.

I started my career covering crime in Somerset before writing about major UK and international construction projects at the turn of the century and then leading campaigns on doctor pay and conditions and pensions for the British Medical Association.

I approach any project with an open mind, close attention to detail and a shared passion and interest in the organisation or individual I’m working with.
